MRKT - Research Paper Example As a result of this revolution, the world has been automatically transformed into a single well connected global entity. It needs special highlighting of the fact that the technological revolution that has affected both the developed as well as the developing markets has brought a tremendous change in the nature and behaviour of the masses around the world. The consumers and masses of the present day increasingly prefer to live a dual life. This dual life promotes physical presence in the real world as well as virtual presence in the internet connected world. In order to stay connected to their virtual selves in the virtual world, the masses prefer to use various smart technology devices like Smartphones, I-pads, tablets. It is highly interesting to mention that the intense acceptance and usage of the technological devices has resulted in enormous acceptance of the multiple social networking sites. From the marketing point of view, it has to be said that for the purpose of better com munication of value to the customers as well as the target audience, creation of relevant product which will satisfy the needs existing in the market is of tremendous importance. For the purpose of acquiring knowledge and needs of the masses, it becomes highly essential on the part of the marketers to engage in the process of market research. Recognizing the trend of the young consumers to stay online for a considerable part of the day as well as night, marketers entitled with the responsibility of communicating the values of various kinds of products and services, are focusing on the process of engaging with their customers through the online platform. The online marketers in order to attract more and more of the online target audience are designing various kinds of interesting web enabled applications which automatically collects and tracks the users data as well as various other relevant specification. Needless to mention that in the bid to browse the highly interesting applicati ons, the online community of consumers ends up revealing a considerable amount of personal data. This essential data is being mined by the data scientists and data experts using the technology of Big Data. However, it has to be mentioned that the needs and demand related to normal products and services is highly different as compared to products and services that belongs to the health care sector. It has to be stated that for the purpose of significant understanding of the attitudes of the public as well as the trends of the consumers in regards to various healthcare products and services, a much specialised kind of research and market survey has to be conducted. While discussing about the various kinds of research data that is often considered by the private as well as government organizations belonging to the healthcare sector, the focus and importance has to be given on health survey data, general consumer based information as well as administrative data which is resulted from mu ltiple health care delivery systems (Goodby and et.al, 15). For the purpose of generation of relevant data, organizations belonging to the healthcare category often collect a lot of data which are generated as a possible by product of various operations of the organization. Now with the fast changing consumer needs and demands, the organizations providing services and products of the health care s

Lekta & the Dialectic Essays -- Philosophy Philosophical Essays
Lekta & the Dialectic The scope of Stoic logic encompasses various aspects of their philosophy and serves as the primary method through which the rest of their opinions about the world are shaped. Stoic logic is easily divisible into two realms, the realm of the dialectic, and that of rhetoric. Rhetoric, with all its breadth and superfluity, seems less valuable to Stoic logic than the more simplistic dialectic. For the Stoics, the wise man is always the dialectician, for the dialectic distinguishes the true from the false with brevity and completeness. One of the most interesting aspects of Stoic logic, the concept of sayables or lekta pertains to this dialectic. There are numerous characteristics and conditions of sayables which ultimately reveal a great deal about the whole of Stoic philosophy and pose interesting questions about the continuity of their theory. Distinct from speech, sound, voices and utterances, lekta possess qualities which distinguish them from other aspects of communication and thought. At its most simple form, absent of various other conditions, a lekton is simply a piece of language that articulates a state of affairs, carries a truth value, and ââ¬Å"subsists in accordance with a rational impressionâ⬠(LS 196). Now, while lekta cannot be simply termed as speech or ideas, they are linked in a special sense with both speech and a concept to form an opinion. ââ¬Å"â⬠¦three things are linked together, ââ¬Ëthe significationââ¬â¢, ââ¬Ëthe signifierââ¬â¢, and ââ¬Ëthe name-bearerââ¬â¢. The signifier is an utterance, for instance ââ¬ËDionââ¬â¢; the signification is the actual state of affairs revealed by an utterance, and which we apprehend as it subsists in accordance with our thoughtâ⬠¦ the name-bearer is the external object, for instance, Dion ... ...olded various lekta to create their propositions, forming questions which could be universally comprehended and evaluated. Without lekta, the dialectic could not have existed. The Stoic lekta, which I believe to be a corporeal part in the Stoic hierarchy of ââ¬Ësomethings,ââ¬â¢ provide a means through which logicians and philosophers could engage in the dialectic which developed various truths which we read about today. Whether lekta are a body or not, it remains that their strong independence and resilience as somethings can be used as a means to the end of scientific truth. Engaging in rational debate with propositions filled with subjects and predicates was the cornerstone of Stoic philosophy. Without logic, and the sayables which pieced together their dialectic, the Stoics would have been unable to provide perspective on those truths which have persisted through time.

Analysis and Interpertation of “Stolpestad”
Stolpestad by William Lychack I believe that we often consider the fact that we donââ¬â¢t get enough out of our lives. We think a lot about whether we live our lives to the full. Maybe someone chooses not to live an exciting life where every day, is a new day and a new opportunity. Whether we live a boring life ââ¬â sometimes alone, sometimes with a family ââ¬â we still wonder if we get enough out of our every day and avoid living a stagnant life. But is that even possible? Or does some just choose to live a predetermined life ââ¬â which might make them feel secure because itââ¬â¢s something familiar ââ¬â even though they might find it boring? But maybe itââ¬â¢s not possible to live a secure life with a family and a good job without getting tired of it? Maybe some people are just stuck in a boring life, without doing something to change it. I believe that is what we see in this short story by William Lychack, where we hear about police officer Stolpestad and h is stagnant life. Stolpestad certainly seems to be stuck in a routine ââ¬â a boring life, where every day is the same. Day in and day out. As mentioned above we hear about the main character Stolpestad. Heââ¬â¢s a police officer who doesnââ¬â¢t seem to be pleased about how his life turned out to be.He doesnââ¬â¢t seem happy about his job and it just seems like his life is at a standstill: ââ¬Å"Was toward the end of your shift, a Saturday, another one of those long slow lazy afternoons of summer ââ¬â sun never burning through the clouds, clouds never breaking into rain ââ¬â â⬠¦ â⬠The day is described in a bit negative way because of the choice of words such as ââ¬Å"longâ⬠ââ¬Å"lazyâ⬠and ââ¬Å"slowâ⬠. But it also seems like both these word and the weather description are a symbol of Stolpestadââ¬â¢s life. Everything seems a kind of inadequate ââ¬â just like the weather. The sun is never really shining so much that itââ¬â¢s sunny, but at the same time, itââ¬â¢s not really rain either. The weather seems a kind of stagnant ââ¬â just as Stolpestads life. A characteristic feature of this short story is the narrator view. The story is told in 2. Person but at the same time the text refers to Stolpestad as a ââ¬Å"youâ⬠which means that it seems like itââ¬â¢s actually Stolpestad whoââ¬â¢s telling the story. Maybe even telling the story to himself. The way this short story is written is a kind of what you would find in self-help books ââ¬â and not in the ordinary short stories.Besides that itââ¬â¢s not quite clear when the persons in the story are actually speaking and when itââ¬â¢s just actions and Stolpestadââ¬â¢s thoughts: ââ¬Å"Maybe youââ¬â¢ll take that glass if water after all, you say ââ¬â the boy sent into the house ââ¬â the woman asking if you wonââ¬â¢t just help them. Doesnââ¬â¢t she want to call a vet? No, she tells you ââ¬â the boy pushing out of the house with a glass of water for you ââ¬â you thanking him and taking a good long drink, â⬠¦Ã¢â¬ This quote also shows that the text is a bit difficult to read because itââ¬â¢s hard to figure out whether people is actually speaking or if the text is just written in a spoken language.Thereââ¬â¢re lot of things which symbolize Stolpestadââ¬â¢s life. For instance thereââ¬â¢s the weather, but also the setting is a symbol of his boring life. Everything is described in a negative way: ââ¬Å" â⬠¦ the odometer like a clock ticking all these bored little pent-up streets and mills and tenements away. The coffee shop, the liquor stores, Laundromats, police, fire, gas stations to pass ââ¬â â⬠¦Ã¢â¬ The shops Stolpestad passes are plain and a kind of colorless, and itââ¬â¢s something he sees every day. We also hear that he passes his old childhood which means that he actually never really moved away.He just stayed in the same old town where he was born. Maybe therefore you could say that he never really got any further in his life. He just stayed ââ¬Å"along the same sad streets. â⬠The main theme in this short story is clear all the way through the text, and thereââ¬â¢re a lot of symbols of Stolpestad and his life. A couple of them is ready mentioned, but also the dog, which he is supposed to shoot, is a symbol of Stolpestad. The dog is injured and about to die, but still itââ¬â¢s a live even though its condition might seem critical. You could say the same about Stolpestad. He is a kind of a living dead person, because it seems like his day is done in ââ¬Å"zombie-modeâ⬠. He doesnââ¬â¢t get very much out of his life, heââ¬â¢s just trying to survive another day at the office, with the wife, the children and the sad streets. So the main theme ââ¬â and also the conclusion ââ¬â is that stagnation isnââ¬â¢t something good. You have to wake up and get something out of the day and your life, instea d wasting your precious time at endless bar visits and a job where you donââ¬â¢t even want to go.Stolpestad is really stuck in his life, and he doesnââ¬â¢t get any further, and maybe thatââ¬â¢s what the point of this story is all about. William Lychack is trying to tell us that we shouldnââ¬â¢t just settle for a boring life. We should go out there and find who and what we wanted ââ¬â and where we wanted it. But whether Stolpestad actually wants or tries to break with his stagnant life is uncertain but it could seem like it in the end of the story, where Stolpestad is actually heading toward the woods ââ¬â maybe a symbol of something different or something new.But in the end Stolpestad is stuck in his life.. and reality stands in the door ââ¬â and she wants her husband to come back inside again, and back to his every day routine. ââ¬âââ¬âââ¬âââ¬âââ¬âââ¬âââ¬âââ¬âââ¬âââ¬âââ¬âââ¬âââ¬âââ¬âââ¬â [ 1 ]. Hamlets Character - Free Essay Example
Sample details Pages: 2 Words: 608 Downloads: 9 Date added: 2019/04/10 Category Literature Essay Level High school Tags: Hamlet Essay William Shakespeare Essay Did you like this example? In William Shakespeares Hamlet, Hamlet can be characterised as a curious individual as he goes through a adventure of getting revenge for his father and making sure nobody knows his plans. In Act 3 Scene 1, As Hamlet is about to meet Ophelia, he goes into detail about his vision on life and death by using a lot of diction to add a deeper expression on his words to show more of a curious perspective for Hamlet as he uses words like outrageous and calamity to describe the process of how he feels on the experience of the process of life being calamity and then death being mostly outrageous. That process of thoughts makes Hamlet be seen as a over thinker as he also is in the act of being crazy to hide his actual knowledge of what he believes about Claudius being the reason of his fathers death. Donââ¬â¢t waste time! Our writers will create an original "Hamlets Character" essay for you Create order In addition, Hamlet also uses a bit of figurative language most likely to compare life and death to many things that goes on in his life. As he turn death into sleep can show that Hamlet feels as if he has a deeper understanding on what death is like mostly being that a person who is dead cannot wake up and is in deep sleep and as they sleep that person will begin to have dreams of all sorts of thing. Leaving Hamlet to show himself as optimistic person who thinks death can be many things but no one will be able to know what it is till we are dead and thats where well know. Furthermore, Hamlet uses syntax to have a deeper connection to his thoughts on life and death while also keeping in mind his revenge with Claudius. As he debates about what exactly death is by connecting it to either sleeping or reaching the end of life to basically make more sense to himself and to also give him a large variety of how he feels about himself. As he continue his questioning he shows himself as a more thought out person since in the beginning Hamlet has been pretty all over the place and was mainly confused about the situation he is currently in right now. Finally, to let himself see the life and death thoughts in a easier prospective Hamlet has used imagery to give a deeper view on what he thinks life and death is in form. As he goes on what goes on during death he becomes more descriptive by giving us a image of how a person dies by saying its like a shock from a heartache that was given from our planet or just as we know today as a heart attack. This shows that Hamlet is basically learning about the reality of life and death but is still unsure about the reasoning behind it besides how does it happens which also includes what happens when you are dead. In conclusion, Hamlet can be characterised as a morbid individual as he is currently still has a lot of anger for his family. Since he really does not want to be in the current position he is now by having to kill his uncle who has also killed his father to take over and is now married to his mother. As the story continues he continues to have this unhealthy method of keeping a secret to himself by acting crazy to not letting other know of his plot on assassinating his uncle. But it also leads to him being more understanding what is currently going on with him and his family and decides to continue with his plan with a steady mind.

Information Security Research Paper
Introduction Security management is a wide subject of management associated to assets control, human resources, as well as physical securities safety operations. It comprises the marking of a companyââ¬â¢s data assets and the documentation, growth, and execution of regulations, steps, standards, and outlines. In network control, it refers to the set of operations, which protects systems and telecommunications links from illegal access by individuals, organizations, acts, or effects and they entail a number of sub functions like developing, controlling, and deleting security services and approaches. This also involves allocating security-significant data, presenting essential incidents, managing the allocation of main items and authorizing usersââ¬â¢ access, privileges, and rights. A virus scanner is a form of antivirus program with the ability of searching a system to detect virus signatures. These detected virus signatures normally attach themselves to executable applications and programs like e-mail clients. Consequently, a virus scanner has the ability of either searching all the executable programs during the period when the system has been booted or scanning a file. File scanning is important in the sense that viruses can also change the data or the information in the file (Burns, 2007). Discussion Control tools like the data categorization, risk evaluation, and risk examination are applied to classify threats, weigh assets and rate system susceptibility in order to successfully management may be executed. With the emergence of e-commerce and public Internet, personal computers alongside computer networks, when not sufficiently supervised, are rousingly susceptible to harmful attacks. Viruses, hackers, malicious workers or even human error entirely demonstrate open and severer dangers to networks. All computer applicants right from highest casual Internet users to big organizations, may be influenced by network security breaks. Nevertheless, security breaks may usually be avoided by use of the readily available virus scanners. Risk or viruses being protected by the scanners refer to any action or occurrence with the ability to cause damage to a company by the exposure, alternation, or harming of data, or through the denial of crucial services (Dennis, et al.,1992). It is clear, therefore, that while the Internet has changed a highly developed the manner in which we conduct business transactions, this enormous network together with its related technologies have opened the door to a rising amount of security dangers that need to be prevented to allow upward business transaction (Brynjolfsson Hitt, 2000). In spite of the expensive danger of prospective security breaks, the Internet may be one of the satisfying approach through which individuals can carry out their businesses. People, usually have fears and suspicions while carrying out online transactions, and from that emerges the mistrust of the Internet. This mistrust may restrain the business chances of organizations, mainly those that are entirely Web depended. Therefore, organizations should endorse security regulations and establish precautions, which not just are essential but are also considered as effective. Firms should be in a position to communicate sufficiently the way they have arranged to safeguard their clients (Swanson Guttmann, 2006). The capacity of security to assist the vision of a company can be restricted by a number of aspects, like the social matters. For instance, security and workplace privacy may interfere. Usually, security is executed on an IT structure through pointing applicants and trailing their operations. Nevertheless, anticipation of privacy differs and may be broken by a number of security approaches. Despite privacy being a highly essential societal matter, it is not just one. The trend of information, mainly between the citizens and the government is the other condition where security can require adjustments to aid a community objective. Furthermore, a number of validation approaches can be taken intrusive in certain cultures or environments. Security approaches must be chosen and executed with an identification of the appropriate and valid concerns of others. This can entail weighing the security conditions of data applicants and owners with societal objectives. Nevertheless, policies and an ticipations adjust in relation to the suitable application of security management. These adjustments can either raise or reduce security (Burns, 2007). During the company operations, different people always use computers; hence, incident response should be created at network implementation. This denotes the travels in reaction to a network spasm or equivalent incident, which influences networks, and organization information. An incident response plan is focused at framing the reaction processes, which must occur when a network is being confronted or there is compromised security. The incident response plan must help a company while addressing the occurrence in systematic fashion. When the computer are not in use it is advisable to always put them off and disconnect any network cables since they can be used by hackers to get access to company details. Everyone should also be cautious while sending or receiving emails, or other information that look suspicious (Henderson Venkatraman, 1993). Use of information technology in business With the presence of information security like the one of virus scanners in any business, it implies that there must be also information technology that can help in reinforcing business strategy. Therefore, the next session of our discussion is going to focus on the idea of information technology and its application in the business. Consequently, there are several forms of information technologies in any business. However, in this case, we are going to focus on Tracking systems and EDI. Use of the Technology Order Processing Order processing involves diverse measures of carrying out work in an organization such as packaging, picking up, and delivery of both products and services to the required destination.à A business organization should develop software which is effective in taking orders from customers. The company benefits from this system because it helps in unifying all the departments handling the orders, furthermore it enables efficiency in handling of orders. Lastly, Order Processing enables a company to reduce the manual entry of information associated to sales order and does not call for making changes to the existing business practices (Powner, 2009). Electronic data interchange Electronic Data Interchange can be defined as a means of exchanging information between organizations through the use of electronic means. For example a company can transfer electronic documents from one company to another through the use of internet software such as E-mail (Ray Acharya, 2004). Tracking System To ensure more efficiency in a business organization, the company should launch an electronic tracking system that would supervise the movement of documents and files across different departments. Due to this, the companyââ¬â¢s managers and workers should be able to maintain a constant watch over the exchanged of important documents and receipts at different departments in the progression of making decision (Schwalbe, 2010). Competitive Advantage Tracking systems and EDI to à Company Tracking systems and EDI can support business strategy. The goals of the any given company can be achieved through the use of effective systems, the application of technology so that the transaction process can be carried out in the shortest time possible. This Tracking systems and EDI will benefit the company in various ways such as saving the companyââ¬â¢s money. This is achieved by using this system instead of using the normal process of passing information which entails an enormous deal of human interactions and facilities such as paper documents, holding meetings, using faxes, and others (Powner, 2009). Secondly, the company will benefit a lot in this new system because it will reduce the handling costs such as sorting, organizing and disbursing paper document. Besides, it will reduce the problems of retrieving the lost paper documents. Tracking systems and EDI such as Electronic data interchange will helps the company in reducing the storing space which the paper documents could have occupied. Furthermore, the use of this system will assist the company to reduce the unnecessary expenses such as the cost of manual entry because of the possibility in the system of storing and manipulating data electronically (Henderson Venkatraman, 1993). Thirdly, the use of Electronic Data Interchange will reduce errors, for example recording and billing errors. This is possible because the use of the system will reduce the need to rekey documents in the place of destination. Besides, the system is so faster whereby the information send is received immediately. This is very essential for business companies because they can use this information in serving their customers and making decisions which might be used by the subsidiary companies (Rittenberg, 2009). The human resource managers need to organize their employees so as to select the team to be trained so that they can handle the new system in the company. These employees should be selected basing on their competitive nature, their educational background, and the leadership skills which they posses. It is economical to train few employees because the company will later adopt the in house training whereby the employees who are already trained will train their colleagues. This is necessary for the succession purposes in the organization (Henderson Venkatraman, 1993). Network security In any organization, traffic may increase in the companyââ¬â¢s website. At this point, there is need to ensure that there is sufficient security in the networks. Intruders also need to be detected and documented. In this case, such network security items as intrusion detection items, firewalls and security zones have to be used to make the network extremely secure (Brynjolfsson Hitt, 2000). First and foremost, it is of subtle importance to have security zone facts that will guide every activity. These are portions of network with specific security details and requirements. This zone will have to be introduced in order to assist in filtering and separate the incoming and outbound traffic. This will enable one design a zone to host all networks protected from the internet. Moreover, this zone enables one defines a zone within a specific network to control access to certain servers that hold sensitive details. Some common zones include LAN, FTP and extranet (Venkatesh, et L., 2003). Switch security facts should be introduced in order to increase the security of the network. Some of these are the virtual LAN, MAC filtering security, and the port authentication. Others are the use of the telephony security facts the transmission media security facts and the wireless authentication encryption facts. All these will server to improve the security of the internet in any connection (Venkatesh, et L., 2003). Another item that has to be introduced is IDS facts. These are intruder detection systems that are fixed in a special device of networks that has the ability any suspicious activities and attacks via the internet. They made use of the administration of the IDS, in multiple ways to monitor events, alerts and control any sensor device available to the computer. After sensing the traffic, it categorizes them into various levels as positive, false positive and even negative. For effective maintenance of security, it is therefore important to introduce or make use of IDS facts. With the mobile security facts, one should be aware of the various security considerations as the infra red, Bluetooth, PDA smart phone, wireless application among others. These are the applications that pose danger to the security of the network if maximum care is not taken (Venkatesh, et L., 2003). Implementations and Recommendations Offering an efficient computer security needs an elaborate mechanism, which involves a range of areas both internally and externally of the computer security area. This elaborate mechanism spreads across the whole data life cycle. To function successfully, security management usually relies on the appropriate functioning of some other measures. The process of scanning computers is a continuous process and need regular updates because they are used in a dynamic environment. The constant security checks are because users and system technologies, information in the systems, related threats, and security conditions change frequently. A number of modifications influence system security: linkage to outside networks, technological growth, an alteration in use or value of data, or the introduction of fresh threats all prompt the need for constant checks. Furthermore, security has never been 100% sufficient when a system is executed. System applicants and controllers initiate fresh approaches to bypass security deliberately or inadvertently. Alterations within the environment or the system may develop fresh susceptibilities. Tough observance to process is seldom and processes become obsolete through time. These matters, therefore, make it appropriate to reevaluate from time to time the security of IT forms (Stephen Daniel, 2000). Conclusion In order to safeguard their clients, organizations should protect their workers and associates from security breaks. This is, therefore, the other reason why security scanners must be readily available to users at all the time. The Intranets, Extranets, and Internet allow quick and successful interaction among workers and other associates. Nevertheless, such interaction and efficiency may of course be limited by the influence of a network spasm. Legislation is the other factor, which pushes for the desire to have security scanners. Government identifies both the significance of the Internet as well as the idea that sizeable amounts of world economic output are based on it. Virus scanners are therefore very vital in providing security to information. References Bloomfield, B. (1997).Information technology and organizations: strategies, networks, and integration. Argumentative Essay On Social Media - 1240 Words
Out of the variety of news sources such as TV, radio, or newspapers, one of the popular sources in todayââ¬â¢s world is social media. People are getting addicted to and canââ¬â¢t live without social media such as Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. They use social media as of where they can post their status but also where they can receive a lot of different news. While social media are spreading any kinds of news such as trend, celebrity or even politics, people easily get the information that is not true called ââ¬Å"fake news.â⬠The fake news raises the major problem in social media as the news source. Once people see the news, they tend to believe and share it. Liking can spread out fake news in a second. When people like the news, the activityâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦However, if the news is based just on rumors, what would it be? It would turn out fake news. The recent memorable incident relating to the fake news would be during the 2016 US presidential campaign. In ââ¬Å"The Journal of Economic Perspectives,â⬠Enrico Moretti and Gordon Hanson state that fake news had some influence over the election result that Trump became the US president (Moretti and Hanson. 235). They also mention that they discover 41 articles which support Clinton or are against Trump and 115 articles which support Trump and are against Clinton (Moretti and Hanson. 225). These pro-Clinton articles were shared on Facebook 7.6 million times and these pro-Trump articles were shared 30.3 million times (Moretti and Hanson. 225). What makes surprising about this fact is those articles later turned out to be fake news. Before the news about Clintonââ¬â¢s scandals was leaked, there were much less of people who would vote for Trump and much less of fake news criticizing her.
